This is Funshine Bear.

He's one of my household brothers. I made up that name for him, Funshine Bear. Here's the thing - it fits him perfectly! He's got this really infectious, toothy grin, and such a fun-loving demeanor. He's awesome.

Here's the other thing - I've come to love Funshine Bear a lot. He's just got a really great, really young, really loving and passionate heart. It was his birthday party yesterday, so we drove up to see him, and after not having seen him for a while, it just did my heart good to hang out with him a little bit.

I have a lot of great Funshine stories. I'll just post 'em as they come up, huh?

In conclusion, he's a pretty special kid. He's kind of like the little brother I never had...

This is the little brother I have.

So we had game night tonight at the ever-beautiful Therese's, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to snap some shots of all the great people in my life. Plus, nothing's better than board games!

Except Creme Brulee.

And Jesus.

But that's about it.

Anyway, here are some of them - and again, emphasis on the SOME - in all their radiant glory!

This is MarMar. She reminds me a lot of Giselle. You know, from Enchanted. She's one of Therese's little sisters. She laughs a lot. It's always great to hang out with MarMar. She's definitely a day-brightener. This is before the gaming began.

Al, stealing the focus as usual. She's a stinker. Notice how perplexed or suspicious Laura looks. We're a bunch of cheaters. You gotta stay on your A-game as far as keeping an eye out goes.

Therese gets so intense. She's really into Madgab at this point. Fun fact: We never play Madgab with her, because she's memorized the cards.

I'm telling you. A-game.

But she can't help being gorgeous.

I know, I know. What can I do? Just because he's my best friend, that doesn't mean I take responsibility for his actions, does it? Like getting on the ground and playing with the dirty animals.

Smelling them.

Rubbing his head on them.

What can you do? You just gotta live and let live...

Oh, and the redhead's okay, too.

Yes, that's right. I gave in. I started a blog. I resisted - oh, not violently, but yes, I resisted - the temptation to jump on the bandwagon, but yeah, here I am. Sitting on the bandwagon, just like everyone else.

Finished training at Chili's today. Time to start waiting tables. Oh, except yesterday, when the manager made the schedule, I hadn't finished training yet, so I'm not on the schedule for another week...but I can try to pick up shifts. Hopefully someone will need off in the coming time. Whatever. I'll just roll with it.

Going to Mass tonight. I didn't get to make it yesterday, and for some reason I felt it a lot more acutely. So I'm pretty pumped.

I'll let you know how it goes. I have high expectations. ^_^
